Each exhibit at Women Painters of Washington Gallery runs three months - a total of four shows each calendar year. Artists participating in each show staff the gallery.

Women Painters of Washington was founded in 1930 by six women artists. Their goal was to create an organization that would promote individual growth for female artists while nurturing a strong fellowship among its members.
